Gikuyu also known as Kikuyu is a language spoken in Central Kenya by the Gĩkũyũ (Agĩkũyũ) people.
Gikuyu language has approximately 6,600,000 native speakers.
The language has 4 dialects; Kirinyaga, Muranga, Nyeri and Kiambu.
Note: The sounds f, l, p, q, s, v, x and z do not occur in Gikuyu language.
