The synonym is gonga in Kiswahili or sheng.
It comes from Kikuyu short form of kugutha meaning to hit.
so because of the mispronounced kikuyu word ‘gûtha’ people put it as Gotha.
e.g.
gukugutha ta golf (kikuyu)
ntakugotha ka golf (sheng)
en
I will hit you as a golf
