Ika Language

Ika is a language spoken in Delta and Edo States, Nigeria by the Ika people.

It belongs to the Igboid group of languages which also includes Ikwo language.

Ika language has approximately 100,000 native speakers.

The language has 11 dialects; Agbor, Abavo, Owa, Mbiri, Ute-Ogbeje, Ute-Okpu, Otolokpo, Idumuesah, Akumazi, Umunede and Igbodo.
