Kuria Language

Kuria is a language spoken in Migori County in Kenya to Musoma Rural District in Tanzania by the Kuria people.

It belongs to the Abakurya group of languages .

Kuria language has approximately 300,000 native speakers.

The language has 6 dialects; Simbiti, Nyabasi, Bwiregi, Surwa, Bukira and Busweta.

Their homeland is bounded east by the Migori river and west by the Mara river estuary.
