Lomwe Language

Lomwe also known as Ellomwe or Elhomwe or Lowe or Western makua is a language spoken in Zambezia Province in Mozambique and Phalombe, Mulanje, Thyolo, Chiradzulu, Zomba, and Liwonde districts in Malawi by the Lomwe people.

Lomwe language has approximately 3,600,000 native speakers.

The language has 5 dialects; Emakhuwa, Lmeetto, Elhomwe, Emihavani and Ekokholani.
