Makhuwa also known as Makua or Macua or Emakhuwa is a language spoken in Nampula Province, mozambique by the Makua people.

Makhuwa language has approximately 10,000,000 native speakers.

The language has 9 dialects; Shirima, Saka, Moninga, Marrevone, Meetto, Kokola, Lolo, Marenje and Takwane.
