When we talk counterintelligence, names like CIA, FBI, Mossad, KGB, and MI5 immediately come to mind.

But hey, what about African counterintelligence? Ever thought about that? I bet 99% of you can't even name a single one from Africa, even if your life depended on it.

I wouldn't blame you if even your country's counterintelligence is a bit of a head-scratcher. Just kidding, I would. It can't be that bad.

Not to worry though, its only natural to remember and associate with what you hear and see on a daily basis.

Our screens are flooded with stories of foreign agencies, making the local ones feel like hidden gems. Plus, some foreign agencies have sneakily worked their way into our governments and societies, making us think they're practically gods.

But guess what? It's high time we turn the spotlight back home.
