Remembering Kwame Nkurumah

Kwame Nkrumah was a Ghanaian politician and revolutionary who played a major role in the fight for independence in Africa. He became the first Prime Minister and President of Ghana, and his main contribution to the liberation of Africa was his leadership in the Pan-African movement, which sought to unite African countries against colonialism and imperialism. 

Nkrumah believed that African unity was essential for the continent's development. He championed the formation of the Organization of African Unity (OAU), which later became the African Union (AU). He also promoted socialist policies, industrialization, and education in Ghana and was a strong advocate for the decolonization of Africa.
