Etsako Language

Etsako also known as Afenmai or Etsakor or Iyekhee or Yekhee or Kukuruku is a language spoken in Edo State, Nigeria by the Etsakọ|Afenmai people.

It belongs to the Edoid group of languages which also includes Isoko, Okpe, Ososo and Urhobo languages.

Etsako language has approximately 600,000 native speakers.

The language has 7 dialects; Auchi, Uzairue, South Ivbie, Uwepa-Uwano, Avianwu, Aviele and Ivhiadaobi.
