Tumbuka Language

Tumbuka also known as Chitumbuka or Citumbuka or Tamboka or Tambuka or Tumboka is a language spoken in Rumphi, Mzuzu, and Mzimba districts in Nothern Malawi by the ŵaTumbuka|Batumbuka|Tumbuka people.

Tumbuka language has approximately 7,000,000 native speakers.

The language has 12 dialects; Chikamanga, Fililwa, Fungwe, Hewe, Kandawire, Nenya, Ngoni, Nthali, Phoka, Senga, Wenya and Yombe.
