Disco matanga

 A funeral party or funeral disco..this is the last stage of celebration in African and specifically Luhya funeral ceremonies/rites whereby a huge bash is prepared...all villagers and youth even children come to have a serious overnight jig at the homestead of the deceased/believed. In most cases, it starts and lasts as long as the funeral arrangements are underway mostly around 2weeks with the night before the burial being the peak of it. A lot of comedy, promiscuity and even fights erupt in such functions sometimes involving rival gangs within the villages.
