Luganda Language

Luganda also known as Baganda or Ganda is a language spoken in Buganda region in southern Uganda by the Baganda|Ganda people.

Luganda language has approximately 21,000,000 native speakers.

A person who speaks Luganda is known as Muganda.

The language has 4 dialects; Kooki, Ludiopa, Luvuma and Sese.

Uganda is a Swahili name meaning 'the land of the Ganda'. Swahili arab traders gave the name.

Luganda is the second most spoken language in Uganda.
