Kamba Language

Kamba also known as Kikamba is a language spoken in Makueni County, Kitui County and Machakos County (Ukambani) by the Kamba people.

It belongs to the Akamba group of languages .

Kamba language has approximately 4,600,000 native speakers.

The language has 4 dialects; Machakos, Kitui, Makueni and Kwale.

Note: The sounds c, f, j and r do not occur in Kamba language.

Kamba is closely related to Kikuyu, Kiembu, Kimeru and Kidawida.
